The Government allocates funding to schools to support raising attainment for specific groups of children. These groups include children from low-income families, children eligible for Free School Meals, children who have a parent in the armed forces and children who are in care.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. At Apley, staff and Governors work in partnership to carefully plan how we allocate this funding according to the needs of our children. We are proud of the progress that all our children make.
The plans below show how we are spending the funding to ensure that our pupils’ wellbeing is supported and they make progress so that gaps in attainment close.
