End of year letter to children – Base 3
The time I spent with you was short and sweet,
But I thought that time was such a treat.
This school year will go down in history,
So we will be the class of pure mystery.
We never got to finish our year together,
But I will cherish the time we spent forever!
I just want to thank you for all your hard work this year in Base 3. I am so sorry that you haven’t been able to finish Year 2 with me, but we certainly have lots of great memories to remember! We loved visiting Chester Zoo to see all the animals and RAF Cosford to look at the fascinating planes. You made me very proud of your behaviour and interest on these visits. You also performed fantastically in our Christmas play and we always had lots of dancing and singing in the classroom too (not just from me)!
I am so proud with how brave you have been during this very strange time and I thank you for working so hard at home. In Year 3, you will continue to work as problem solvers, artists, engineers, mathematicians, story writers and be wonderful, inquisitive learners.
I wish you a super summer holidays but please stay safe and make sure you have lots of fun!
Love from
Miss Gilbert and the Year 2 team xx
