Radio 2’S 500 Word Competition

I’d like to say a huge congratulations to Will, whose story ‘Pure Gold’, has successfully made it through the first round of Radio 2’s 500 word competition. Out of 135,000 entries, he is one of 5,000 children that made it through to the next stage. This is absolutely amazing news and we wish you all the luck for the rest of the competition!

Fancy-dress workout

It’s great to know so many of you have been taking part in the Joe Wicks PE at home workout videos each morning!

Thank you to all of you who sent in photos completing today’s workout in fancy dress. I loved seeing the spectacular costumes and such hard work taking place!

Fancy-dress workout!

Tomorrow morning, Joe Wicks is asking the nation to participate in his morning PE workout wearing fancy-dress!

What will you dress up as? We’d love to see as many of you as possible completing his workout dressed up- be as creative as you want!

Please email across any photos of you completing the fancy-dress workout so I can upload them onto the school website for all to see.

Working From Home

Just a reminder that our teachers are regularly loading My Maths actives for pupils on the class pages, as well as a variety of other activities. Please have a look and give some ago.

‘Clicker’ have been kind enough to give us access to their software at home meaning you can download directly to your computer/tablet and benefit from it’s full features for an initial 6 weeks.

Go to www.cricksoft.com/home-installation for all the information you need to get started, including installation instructions and helpful hints for getting the most out of the software. Our class pages may also give you some ideas on how to use the software at home.

Apley Wood’s unique Clicker 8 serial number for laptops was is the email sent on 27th March and the Organisation ID and enrolment password for iPads was sent yesterday (30th March).
