Headteacher’s Message – 1st December 2023
It’s certainly starting to feel like Christmas in school, I’ve heard some lovely singing from Year 1 and Year 2 whilst rehearsing for their show. Thank you to the children in Apley hub who have decorated our Christmas tree this week, it’s looks beautiful.
There is some really great learning going on in school as always. I’ve also seen some brilliant maths learning from Year 6, absolutely amazing dances from Base 12 and Base 14 and I received some lovely feedback about the outstanding behaviour of our Year 3 children on their visit to Barmouth this week.
We have done a whole school pupil voice activity this week, taking suggestions from the children about ideas for games and activities for our different zones at lunchtimes. The staff are reviewing their ideas and will take on some of their suggestions over the coming weeks. The school council are also focusing on lunchtimes and working on ideas to help to improve the dining hall and make it Bonnie safe.

Year 3 Barmouth trip
What a fantastic day we had at the seaside! The children used ordnance surveys to find a range of human and physical features, before tucking into some chips at lunchtime. We then took a walk along the sand in the sunshine. The children represented the school well with their excellent behaviour. Well done Year 3!
Year 5 – Orienteering 28.11.23
Year 5 worked brilliantly this afternoon in PE!
They used their teamwork skills and were great at orienteering around the school playground, finding different letters to create words together.
We are so proud of everything you achieved this afternoon.
Santa Dash 2023 Thursday 21st December
This year as a whole school we will be taking part in the Santa Dash to raise funds for sporting activities on Thursday 21st December. Kind donations would be much appreciated please take money to office or class teachers. All activities will be outside so please have suitable footwear and warm coats.
