Headteacher’s message 22.09.2023
It has been another great week in school. I’ve been visiting classrooms this week looking at learning and have seen some fantastic efforts. Our reception children have started their first formal phonic lessons this week and have been brilliant. Congratulations to our new House Captains and School Council members, I know they are going to have a great contribution in school this year. I have also had some visitors in school, over the last two weeks, all of whom have commented on the very calm learning environment and the lovely manners our children have. Our children are responding well to the three rules: Be ready, be respectful and be safe.
Well done to everyone who has received a Headteacher Award this week. I am very proud of them all.

Mrs Skeates-Lodge will be leaving us next Friday. We are very sad to say goodbye as she has been a huge part of our Apley community but we all wish her the very best of luck in her new career change and future relocation.
Autumn Term Parent Consultations
This year, following feedback from parents and staff, we are trialling an online booking system for parent consultations in October. From next week, you will be able to book your Autumn term face to face parent consultation online via scopay, using your current log in details. We hope that this will make the process easier for everyone involved. You will receive a letter next week with more details about how to book and when the booking system will open. We have opted to return to face to face appointments this year to ensure parents have chance to see and celebrate their children’s work in books.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.
