Headteacher’s Message (26.01.2024)
We have been awarded the Bronze Trauma Informed and Attachment Aware Schools’ award to recognise our school’s attachment and trauma aware practice. This is in recognition of all the training staff have undertaken, how we have implemented this through our school ethos, behaviour policy and focus on well being through our use of Inclusion mentor and ELSA support, Calm Brain and the outstandingly happy programme which are built into our curriculum offer.
We are delighted to have been recognised and will continue to work with the Attachment Research Community to develop our practice in this area.

Academy Conversion Consultation meeting – 29th January
Members of the REAch2 team will be in school on Monday afternoon (29th January) to meet parents who may have questions regarding our future conversion.
The meeting is being held between 2pm and 3pm in the school hall.

Year one computing. 22.01.24
This week in computing the children used concrete resources to support prediction and develop their ability to read code. 
Base 4’s Science at Forest School – 25/01/24
Base 4 had a brilliant time at Forest School. They were set the challenge of finding the most waterproof material to use when creating a space suit for NASA (linked to our history topic). They worked in teams to set up their experiments and investigate. They tested paper, foil, fabric and wood and concluded that foil was the most waterproof. We then had a discussion about how to make foil stronger and more suitable for wearing to space. A big thank you to Mr Yardley for leading the session and making our learning fun!
KS2 Tennis
Our Ks2 Students participated in the TWSSP Tennis festival yesterday learning new skills and working on their coordination. They all had a great time representing the school.
Lost Property
Please ensure that your child’s clothing and bags are named. We have a large amount of uniform that we are unable to return to the correct children.
We currently have the below items in the school office. If they belong to your child, please collect them by Friday 9th February.
