Year 5 Forest School Tiles

This week, in Forest School, we created our own ’tile’ using clay and natural resources to depict different elements of life in Ancient Greece.

They are absolutely brilliant and we can’t wait to display them in school.

Well done Year 5!

Year 5 Science – 27.09.23

In Science this afternoon, Base 12 and 13 conducted an experiment where they answered the question:

Which material will be the best electrical conductor in a circuit?

We tested foil, paper clips, lollipop sticks, rubbers and copper coins. Some of us even extended our learning and combined all of the metal objects together and we found that the more metal objects within the circuit, the brighter the bulb. Others found that scissors were also an electrical conductor.
