VE Day

On the 8th May, we will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day. We thought that it would be a great idea if you could still celebrate this at home.

Here are some ideas of what you could do:
Design a teacup t-h-321-ks2-ve-day-teacup-design-activity_ver_2
Design/create a medal t3-h-123-design-a-ve-day-medal-activity-sheet_ver_1
Decorate your house using bunting t-t-2548139-union-jack-template-display-bunting_ver_1

If you would like to explain this event to your child, here is a document that explains what VE Day is. t2-t-1578-ve-day-75th-anniversary-information-powerpoint-_ver_2

It would be lovely to see anything that you do to celebrate this occasion. Please send any pictures to the school email address so that these can be put onto the newsletter.

This is a brilliant resource to get active but away from a screen. It contains loads of ‘activity cards’ for a variety of different focuses (eg. gymnastics, athletics, games, outdoor and adventure). Click and download an activity card to get the instructions for the activity; you can also watch a video guide for each card if you want a visual example of how it’s done.

If you really enjoyed creating your own Tudor shield, why don’t you create your own shield using cardboard and paper mache if you feel adventurous. Please send any pictures to the school email address – we look forward to seeing them and hearing from you.

Take care

Mrs Beardwood and Mr Taylor

Our thank you message

Some of the children, who were in school during the first week of Easter, have created a video with a thank you message and a reminder to have faith. They used chalk to write words of thanks and decorate images of hope. Enjoy!

Keep Singing!

Hi Everyone

I hope you all had a really good Easter and have not eaten too much chocolate!

As we begin the Summer Term we will begin looking at new topics. This term we will be finding out about the Tudors for our History topic and the digestive system and teeth in science.

Please focus on the English and Maths resources, but have a go at the music and wellbeing.

The Oak Academy have also produced some fantastic resources. Not all of the foundation lessons are relevant so again focus on the English and Maths.
