Healthy eating.

Year one have been thinking about healthy eating. We have made fruit kebabs in design technology. They were delicious!

REMINDER

· Set aside 10 minutes to watch films with your child each day.

· Find a quiet space for your child to watch the film on a laptop or tablet.

· Praise your child as they join in with the lesson

Author Visit

This morning, Reception and KS1 had a visit from local author, Sarah Griffiths. They enjoyed listening to Sarah read her book ‘The Lost Voices’, and loved hearing Shiri’s song from the story.

Summer Fayre – Change of date

We have recently been informed that Charlton will be holding the Charltonbury Festival on 7th July, which was the same date as our planned Summer Fayre.  As some of our children will have opportunity to perform at Charltonbury, we have changed the date of our Summer Fayre to Friday 30th June, 3.30pm – 5pm.

Coronation celebrations

Yesterday, Year 1 enjoyed learning about the coronation of King Charles III. They had fun doing lots of activities linked to the coronation including writing acrostic poems, making flags, singing the national anthem and making badges.
