Year 1 History

As part of our History topic we will be looking at modern toys. On Thursday 12th January, we are asking Year 1 children to bring in a toy from home to look at in class. This is optional, but it will be a chance for the children to look at a range of different modern toys, talk about how they play with them and what they are made out of. If your child is bringing in a toy, please could it be clearly labelled with their name or in a named carrier bag. The toys will be kept in the children’s own lockers for the morning and just used for the History lesson. They will bring the toy home at the end of the day. We ask that children do not bring in any expensive, precious or breakable toys. We will take very good care of the toys, but accidents can happen.

Many thanks,

Year 1 Team

Christmas Party

Base 5 and Base 6 will be having their Christmas Parties on Wednesday 14th December.

As the children will be having their party in the morning, please only bring in a very small amount of party food. They will be eating around break time, which is not long before lunch, and we still want them to be able to eat their lunch. So just a couple of small snacks will be more than enough, please provide in a named container or plastic bag.

The children can come in to school in party clothes, but please remember they will still be going outside at break and lunch time, and it is very cold at the moment, so lots of layers and sensible shoes are still required.

Merry Christmas!

Mrs Jenkins, Mrs Gould and Mrs Edwards.

Santa Dash Friday 9th December

Friday 9th December the whole school will be taking part in a Christmas themed assault course. All children will need to make sure they are in PE kits and have suitable footwear on so they can take part. Santa Dash 22 Primary Timetable.

If children have Christmas hats then please get involved and bring them along.
