Yr5/6 Girls Unbeaten run continues.

Our Yr5/6 Girls played Millbrook Primary school coming out 2-1 winners, the Girls played some great Football and showing amazing Sportsmanship and Teamwork.

Yr5/6 Athletics Team

Our Yr5/6 Athletics team entered into the Sports-hall Athletics finishing 7th place out of 12 schools. They all did extremely well and made Apley wood proud.

Yr3/4 Girls Football.

Our yr3/4 Girls football team played their first ever game together Against Hollinswood Primary school, Our Girls played some Brilliant football and scoring a great team goal. More games to come for our yr3/4 Girls team.

Y5/6 Girls win first league game.

On Thursday 7th October, our YR 5/6 Girls played their first league game together against St Peters Bratton. Apley Wood played some great football and worked together extremely well as a team. All the girls were determined to get a win and scored lots of goals. They were proud to keep a clean sheet and to be awarded 3pts. The girls next game is against  Millbrook Primary School.

 

 

YR 5/6 Boys progress to the Plate Tournament.

On Monday 4th October, YR 5/6 boys participated in the Telford and Wrekin football tournament. The boys had a total 6 games and played brilliantly throughout, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship. They won 2 games and narrowly lost 4 games by only 1 goal each time. Apley Wood Primary school played some great football and carried on playing until the very end. They showed great determination and will progress to the ‘Plate tournament’ in couple of weeks time.

 

YR 3/4 Mixed Football Trials

Tuesday 21st September is our YR 3/4 Mixed Football Trials at Lunch time 12:45 – 1.15 if your Child wishes to take part then can they bring PE kit, Shin pads, Football boots and goalkeeper gloves if they wish to go in goal.

Shrewsbury Town Soccer Schools are a great way to keep the kids active during the Holiday Periods! Their courses cater for boys and girls of all abilities between the ages of 5 to 11 years and are extremely flexible, you can choose to book daily or per full course.
