Oxford Owl Ebooks

 

 

 

 

Each base has now been set up with a login to access resources on the Oxford Owl website.

This will allow children to access age appropriate fiction and non-fiction ebooks from home in case they are self-isolating or their bubble closes.

Letters will be coming home with your child’s base username and login.

Reading is Magic

Base 12 have enjoyed watching 3 podcasts today from the ‘Reading Is Magic Festival’.

They have learnt all about how where we live can inspire us, how fiction can be inspired by fact and the importance of protecting our wild life and environment.

Spelling Homework

Don’t forget that weekly spellings are available on the year group class spelling pages. The children will now be bringing their spellings home on a Friday in their reading record to copy out at home ready to take their reading record back to school on a Monday.

AR Books Base 10

Unfortunately, due to a current technical data issue with Accelerated Reader for base 10, your child has been unable to sit their Star Reading Test this week in order to determine their ZPD. Consequently, they have not got an AR book to bring home this weekend.

Please be assured that we are doing everything that we can to resolve this issue.The children will still be accessing quality texts through their guided reading and English lessons whilst we await the resolution to this issue.
