Year 1 Maths Homework 12.03.21

For this week’s maths homework we would like you to practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have sent home a sheet with the counting patterns for these on, and also attached it below. We do not need anything brought back into school for this homework, but we would like all the children to practise these regularly so that they can recall them.

Year 1 Art Day

The children in school have really enjoyed art day today. They have learnt about Wassily Kandinsky, and created their own art work based on his paintings; used oil pastels to create shape art; and used chalks to draw in the style of Paul Klee. The children also created some colourful artwork using outlines of their own hands. Here is just a selection of some of the work the children have produced:

Year 1 Art Day

On Friday 26th February, Year 1 will be having an Art Day. This is a chance to be really creative and hopefully have lots of fun. Year 1 Maths Homework 11.12.20

This week’s homework is on MyMaths. It revises a lot of the place value work you have done so far in Year 1. There are a lot of questions, but we are giving you longer to do the homework. It is not due in until Friday 8th January 2021.

Year 1 Spellings 14th December

This week’s spellings are red words and are for all of the Year 1 children to learn.  There will be no spelling test next Friday (18th December), but the children will be tested on a selection of these words after Christmas on Friday 8th January 2021.
