Last week, Finlay completed lots of TT Rockstars, enjoyed working his way through a SPAG workbook, baked banana cakes and made a poster about his favourite film using Word.
He sketched portraits of his family, made a rain catcher and measured the rainfall and researched and looked at a real Roman coin.

He and his family have also been looking after 10 caterpillars over the past few weeks, watching them grow and change, and they finally released the butterflies in the garden. Wow!

Yesterday, they had a Star Wars themed day. Finlay acted out parts of the films with his sister, made a Millenium Falcon by junk modelling and did the Cosmic Kids Star Wars Yoga.

Well done Finlay!

Harvey has been using a range of skills over the past couple of days.

Firstly, he decided to bake and decorate his own cake. He used his English and maths skills brilliantly whilst following a recipe and measuring out the ingredients. You’re a junior master chef in the making, Harvey!

Secondly, he used his art and design skills to redesign his cars using acrylic paint. Well done!

Noah has created an amazing Romans project! We are very impressed, Noah! He has also been working really hard on Times Table Rockstars, Purple Mash and Nessy. Noah has been working through his maths work and has been focussing on improving his number formation. He has also started a Covid-19 time capsule and completed a science experiment to make geodes. Finally, Noah had an exciting late night where he and his family took pillows and blankets out onto the trampoline to look out for the amazing meteors during the meteor shower. Keep up the great work, Noah!

Finlay has been reading through lots of books on the Romans. He has been out riding his bike each day, swimming in the pool on hot days, looking at and naming the parts of a flower, baking scones, having Zoom guitar lessons, learning the Roman Numerals and beginning to read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. He has also been working on maths, SPAG, reading comprehension and TT Rockstars too!

Wow! Finlay – well done!

Noah had a very exciting Easter holidays, with his family, which is so lovely to see! Making home-made cheese dip, for his nachos, beforehand, he enjoyed a Cinema-style viewing of Trolls 2. He, creatively, used monopoly money to buy his tickets and snacks on entry to the living room. He, also, took part in Bestival the stay at home festival and enjoyed carnival games. Noah completed many science experiments and wrote a comic about a sky-diving monkey as well.

Then, to top it all off, the Easter Bunny delivered many clues for an Easter Egg hunt. This happened to me, when I was younger, too!

Well done, Noah! You are definitely making the most of your time at home.

Our thank you message

Some of the children, who were in school during the first week of Easter, have created a video with a thank you message and a reminder to have faith. They used chalk to write words of thanks and decorate images of hope. Enjoy!

Here is an update on what Noah has been up to. He has been doing lots of baking, painting and is really enjoying reading his new Star wars books. He is loving learning about the Romans already too. Then, to balance out the baking, he has been absolutely smashing the Joe Wicks’ workouts.

Well done, Noah! This all sounds brilliant. Keep it up!
