Weekly challenge – 06/07/20

RE

Is life like a journey?

Many religions see life as a journey that is full of decisions.

  • Make a timeline of your life so far and think about decisions that you have made.
  • Think about friendship choices, your reactions to events happening and whether you would change some of your past choices if you could.
  • Would your journey have been different if you had made different choices?

For example: If I hadn’t chosen to go to university, I wouldn’t have become one of your teachers. That was a choice that I made. If I had decided not to go, I would be working somewhere else.

Our choices shape our present and future.

Home update – Base 10

Noah has been working his way through his work pack and has been practising his 8 times tables. Additionally, he has gone back over how to tell the time and labelled a clock brilliantly. Well done!

Noah has designed his own ice cream, painted it (using water colours) and labelled it. His family will be buying him ingredients so that he can make it very soon.

With lovely, neat handwriting, Noah made a Father’s Day card too. Keep up the good handwriting.

Enjoying the sunshine, Noah played in his pool and brought bowling (one of his hobbies from before Lockdown) to his house. He even got a few strikes and won which made him very happy.

All of this sounds brilliant Noah!

Home update – Base 10

Over the past couple of weeks, Finlay has really enjoyed learning all about Pompeii, Vesuvius and volcanoes. He created his own paper mache volcano. This then inspired Finlay to research into other natural disasters, such as earthquakes, too.

On his guitar, Finlay has been learning how to play some Beatles songs. This sounds very impressive! Finlay has made the most of the sunshine by riding his bike lots too.

Wow – this sounds fantastic! Well done Finlay!
