Safer Internet Day

The Safeguarding Squad did a fantastic job informing the KS1 and KS2 children all about the importance of online safety and speaking out if there is something the children were concerned about when they have been using online devices.

Theseus and the Minotaur!

Some of our Year 5 children created some challenging mazes for each other to work out in Forest School today after hearing all about the story of Theseus and the Minotaur!

Reflection

Years 5 have taken some time today to reflect. Life is very busy. We are all so busy doing lots of different things each day we sometimes forget to reflect. The children enjoyed having some time to focus on what they were proud of and focused on themselves.

Stained glass windows

Year 6 have been working really hard creating their own stained glass windows in RE. They used collage to link the colours and images to different values.

Forest School

Forest school with Year 5 this morning. Tree climbing, natural art and using estimation to measure the heights of trees. Despite the chilly start, the children had a wonderful morning!

Carols at Southwater

The Apley Wood Choir did a beautiful performance to the shoppers at the Christmas market up at Telford’s Southwater. They performed a range of Christmas carols which were greatly received by the passers by.

Mrs Hindle and Mr Yardley are both extremely proud of the choirs hard work.
