A big thank you to all the parents who came to our reading session this afternoon. The children really enjoyed sharing their books with you and are looking forward to the next DEAR session.

Year 2 had great fun at their party this afternoon. They loved showing us their dance moves and playing party games. After all of their hard work this year, they definitely deserved to let their hair down and celebrate the end of term!

Yesterday, Base 4 had a fantastic time at Forest School. They really enjoyed building the hedgehog houses that they had designed in their Design and Technology lessons. I am sure you will agree, they looked brilliant!

Year 2 had a brilliant afternoon at Forest School making and tasting bread as part of their history learning. They looked at how bread would have been made around the time of the Great Fire of London, when Thomas Farriner’s bread oven started the unfortunate fire. Thank you to Mrs Jones and Mr Yardley for another fantastic Forest School session, we are already looking forward to next week.

Base 4 had a very creative afternoon, completing their mixed media Great Fire of London pictures in the style of David Best. Their finished pieces look very effective. Great job, Base 4!

Year 2 had great fun in the hall completing their “bearpees” for Children in Need. It was lovely to see everyone dressed up in their spotty outfits, enjoying themselves and keeping fit.
