DT Toy Cars 14.02.23

Base 6 have really enjoyed our DT project this half term. We’ve researched, designed and made our own toy cars, and we are so proud of them! We couldn’t wait to take them home to show our family how hard we have worked on them.

Year 1 Taste Test – 25.01.2023

Year 1 had the best Science lesson this morning! We completed a taste test, trying to identify; Sour, Sweet, Bitter and Salty food and drink.

We were surprised when the Popcorn was salty, not sweet and that the Tonic Water was so bitter! Lots of us enjoyed the Lemons and Limes, even if we did pull some funny faces! Our favourite was definitely the Chocolate Buttons.

Maths Homework – Numbots

NumBots | Welcome to the NumBlog!

Numbots

From this week on we will be using ‘Numbots’ as our maths homework in Year 1. You will be able to login to Numbots using your child’s Time Table Rockstars login details.

We would like your child to complete 3 minutes on ‘Story Mode’, 4 to 5 times a week. Story mode will then unlock a range of challenges for your child complete ,the emphasis of the challenges is on rapid responses to essential facts and simple sums, against the clock.

We will be able to track the children’s progress through the story mode, and see how they are getting on with their challenges.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Many thanks,

The Year 1 Team.
