Bee fun!

We enjoyed using Purple Mash on the ipads with Mr Smith. We used the program Bee Fun. We had an aerial view of the school and had to control the Bumble bee using arrows to move him around the school. We used our team ant skills to work with a partner.

Home Farm

Reception have had a lovely day on their school trip at Home Farm. The children had the chance to feed the lambs, visit the milking parlour where we could see a working robot milking the cows, we fed the piglets, sheep, cows and ducks. A very busy but exciting day! Farmer Ben was very impressed with all the children’s knowledge on farm animals.

Waxing or Waning?

Year 5 were very resilient when they created some moving models to demonstrate the different phases of the moon. They used these models to explain how the moon appears to change shape across a 28 day cycle and some pupils explained this to Year 2. Excellent work, Year 5!

Reception News

The children in reception have been observing the life cycle of a frog.

We have some very lively tadpoles in base 2, and the children used the magnifying glasses to get a closer look, whilst investigating their changes.

We also have caterpillars! but after munching through lots of food.. they are now sleeping soundly in their chrysalis ready for their big transformation!

The children can’t wait to see what happens..
